New EU rule is saddening I WAS saddened to read an article in Israel Today magazine (January, 2016) stating the European Union has issued guidelines for the labelling of produce from the Jewish settlements, so that anything produced in these areas must now be clearly labelled showing the place of origin.

The thinking behind this decision is to make it easier for European consumers to boycott these Israeli products.

A couple of weeks ago, Emma Rigby's article entitled History lesson we must never forget reminded us about the horrors of Auschwitz.

The Holocaust began with Jewish businesses being boycotted. And so it seems we have forgotten already.
