AS A regular at this pub for many years and prior to JD Wetherspoon owning it, I’m miffed as to why they see the need to off-load it.
It's a hub of activity and generally seen as a community pub.
It’s very popular with locals, visitors and walkers.
Prices are reasonable for meals and drinks.
It's always packed of a weekend and does very well during the Open.
Just why they've taken this decision is totally beyond me.
It's a vibrant meeting place, eatery and pub.
It also seems they've cancelled their Christmas meals, so whatever is going to happen will be soon.
Sad.
