I READ the letter from Phillip Griffiths of UKIP in last week's Globe.

In this he informs us that the demonstrations at the Tory Party conference were "a reminder to everyone who believes in democracy just how hate filled these people are." By 'these people' he appears to be slating the Labour Party and also tells us that they (Labour) are "a danger to the future of our country."

What Mr Griffiths does not mention is that many of those who peacefully demonstrated at the Tory conference were from all walks of life and political persuasion. People got out there and let their views be know about the unpopular policies of this "legitimately elected Government", as is the democratic right of those who "believe in democracy."

As he is such a friend of democracy, shouldn't he be respectful that the leader of the Labour Party was "legitimately elected"? The electorate will decide in due course if Jeremy Corbyn is fit to be PM. Phillip Griffiths shows himself in his true colours by such a hate-filled letter.

This from a representative of a party that wants to scrap the Climate Change Act and supports fracking!
