I WAS a little surprised that Frank Field chose to give us his verdict on Jeremy Corbyn's leadership days before Corbyn set out his stall at the Labour Party conference.
I was also surprised that he made no reference to the tidal wave of change that's already engulfed the Labour Party at both local and national level.
I refer, of course, to the 150,000 people who’ve joined the Labour Party since the May election, dozens of them in Wirral constituencies, of which I am one.
I’ve spoken to other new members, all of whom are inspired by Corbyn’s aims and visions, by his honesty and personal integrity, and by his determination to create a new kind of politics, both within the Labour Party and the country.
Nick Wall, Wallasey.
