HOW surprised and excited I was recently while walking along Harrison Drive to see that the British Super Bikes Grand Prix had unexpectedly come to New Brighton, with their excessive noise and speed and fairy dust roaring up and down the prom.
On a serious note, speeding on motorbikes is a very dangerous and stupid practice to do on a summer’s afternoon with the amount of traffic and families coming in and out of New Brighton.
The council could make a lot more money with speed cameras rather than charging for parking as these idiots certainly don't use the car parks as they are too busy racing up and down the promenade.
In the five hours I was in the area, I saw only one police car and that was behind an ambulance.
So come on Wirral Council, get it sorted. This is more dangerous than dog poo plus you can make a couple of bob as well.
