HOW disappointing to read the rantings and ravings of Paul Nuttall MEP in a news article piece instead of the letters page where his anti-EU propaganda is usually confined (Idiotic rule could censor holiday snaps, Mailbox July 1, 2015).
If Mr Nuttall spent as much energy on representing the true facts as he does on spouting anti-EU rhetoric he would of course know that there is no such EU proposal to prevent tourists from uploading photos of landmarks onto facebook.
A discussion on the above took place in a parliamentary committee debate which will have little or no bearing on any eventual proposal by European Commission.
A proposal which, of course, will need to be adopted by both a majority of MEPs and a majority of member states as per the democratic decision making process.
Let’s keep Mr Nuttall's opinion pieces on the letters page instead of representing them as facts, particularly when they are so misleading.
Nicola Stevenson, Heswall
