IT appears to me that our council is just too short-sighted to comprehend the disservice, indeed wrong, it is doing to our hard pressed families.
We have some very hard working people who have to run a car but cannot afford to take their family on a holiday so are glad to use our local amenities - only look at the way New Brighton fills up these days - to give themselves some well deserved fun.
So WHY is Wirral charging them to park?
Why should any of us, in fact, have to pay for, what strikes me as, poor husbandry ?
Poor husbandry carried into Liscard parking; local traders finding it impossible to park without paying through the nose or, worse still. Incurring a fine .
What good is any of this doing to the resurgence of our once cared for and beloved town ?
All local families need is for you to leave the parking free throughout New Brighton and Liscard traders to be given a contract parking scheme.
I make an appeal to our MP - come on Ms Eagle, support the town that has for so long supported you.
