THROUGH your paper, I would like to thank people who came to my aid following a vicious attack on my Westie dog, Alfie, by three out of control dogs in Riverside Gardens, Seacombe, on the afternoon of Sunday, May 24.

Firstly, the gentleman who witnessed the attack and was so supportive.

The young couple with their baby in the pram who gave me water, wipes and their baby's muslin so I could tend to Alfie.

The police who were on the promenade at the time but were unable to do anything as the owner had quickly left the scene with his dogs, but were so understanding and supportive.

They have since followed up on this incident and are hoping to take it further.

Finally, Seaview Vets who cleaned Alfie up and tended compassionately to his wounds.

Judith Jacobs, Noctorum.
