WHILE I am as guilty as others for writing to the Globe and having my letters printed, I am now getting slightly concerned at the tone of some of the letters now appearing.

Taking the mickey out of traffic lights or making light-hearted suggestions about the obvious inability of Wirral Borough Council to stop shooting itself in the foot is one thing, but to print the vitriolic comments that are appearing from some writers about pets, dogs and cats is going just too far.

We all have to live here, we all have to drive here, we all have to put up with Wirral Council and its antics and we all have to put up with the inconveniences of having to live near other people and their problems. What will be next?

Get rid of blackbirds as they eat all the worms in my garden? No, enough is enough.

I urge the Wirral Globe to stop printing letters that create bad feelings, make people feel threatened and leave a nasty taste in my mouth.

Wirral isn’t that bad, it just needs some tender love and care and compromise.
