DEAR Wirral Council, I just wanted to know am I missing something here, as the Wirral Globe tonight has a front page Council to back club.
Forgive me if I’m wrong but Tranmere Rovers is a privately-owned club with players being paid far more than they’re worth.
There’s a chairman who is worth millions and selling off green land and fields shortly.
This is all while food banks are growing, people are struggling, you are cutting services to the most needy and your council are forever bleating "we are not getting enough money from Government”.
Help those most needy, not egotistical football players and clubs who ended up in the mess they are in through high wage bills and poor performances.
A bit like our own council really!
Steve Stuart, Pensby.
