TO the driver of the speeding black car who killed our lhasa apso on the Upton by-pass last Saturday night and failed to stop to investigate what he had done, I ask that you, one day, come to terms with what you have done.
To the young man who stopped and, with simple kindness, offered to take us to the nearest vet, did so, and then took us home to grieve, we would like to thank you for your generosity, sympathy and human decency which a few minutes earlier was impossible to believe in.
