ON Tuesday, March 17, my car broke down as I was leaving the Village Hotel in Bromborough during the evening rush-hour.

I couldn't have broken down on a busier road or at a busier time, but what happened next shocked me.

A lady with dyed blonde hair who was aged around her late-50s in a white car started screaming at me from her car to move, even though it was obvious I had broken down.

I tried to gesture an apology but her aggression and screaming made my mind go blank.

Fortunately, three men came from nowhere and took control and pushed my car back into the car park so I was no longer an obstruction.

Then a lovely lady offered me her phone – as my phone was in the boot which wouldn't open – and even offered me and my two-year-old a lift home.

I would just like to express how grateful I am to these people who helped me without hesitation and to thank you from the bottom of my heart for taking action when I felt useless!

I'd also like to say to the lady that when you are in a moment of need, I hope unlike me, you are surrounded by people just like you.

Once again a huge thank you to the wonderful strangers who helped me.
