IN response to Mr Waring's letter headlined Bus Payments (Wirral Globe Mailbox, February 11) we are looking into the issue of the individual PayPoint store currently not selling smart Saveaways.
However, there are three alternative outlets close by at Leasowe Off-Licence, One Stop, Reeds Lane and MP Food and Wine, Reeds Lane.
I would also like to assure Mr Waring that while we are not planning to reintroduce the paper Saveaways, we are working on people being able to buy Saveaways in advance, as well as developing new card-based tickets.
Finally, more widely, there are more than 190 outlets across Wirral where people can buy smart Saveaways, just over three times the number of outlets which sold the paper versions.
