THERE is nothing more perturbing than a disabled bay full of cars with personalised registration plates and no disabled badges.
I have just seen five cars in half an hour outside the Co-op in Wallasey Village with personalised registration plates parked illegally in the disabled bay.
There is always plenty of room in the designated parking area at the rear of the shop but it is a long walk for the disabled to the shop entrance.
The occupants of two of the cars went in the cafe for lunch and the occupant of another went to the chemist. What is it with personalised registration plates?
Presumably these cryptic little numbers mean something to you.
To everybody else it just means selfish fool with more money than sense.
In France disabled bays are respected by everybody.
Parking in them without authority is a serious offence.
Frequently you will see signs that say 'take my parking space take my disability'.
Are the people of this area so selfish and lazy that feel they cannot be bothered to park responsibly?
