IN the Globe of November 19, there was a report about the collapsed buildings in King Street, which are, surprisingly, owned by Wirral Council.
Quite justifiably, Cllr Leah Fraser asked why there had been no repairs done to prevent this.
In response, Cllr Phil Davies went off on a rant about Tory cuts, blaming, as usual, everybody except his inept cabinet.
Councillor Davies knows full well that the cuts in grants nationally have had to be made because of the financial incompetence of Tony Blair, Gordon Brown and Ed Balls when "running" the UK.
As the responsible person for finance in the cabinet, what he should be doing is representing the community, not trying to score party political points.
