I REFER to the Globe's online story headlined Row as head-hunters are hired to find new chief executive for Wirral Council.
At this meeting I agreed that we needed more detail on "job-sharing" with others.
That requires an informed judgment on what aspects of the job are critical.
When the Improvement Board left the scene, I warned that the job was unfinished.
I feel that Wirral still has a host of managerial and organisational headaches, still rumbling along, still unresolved.
The fact that the senior "management restructuring" is on hold is just as troubling.
Staff delivering public services at the sharp end are being re-organised, yet work on the upper sections is being set aside.
The potential savings in the upper areas might as well be sealed in a top-secret vault.
This sends the wrong message out to staff and the public.
Cllr Phil Gilchrist, Wirral Council Liberal Democrat group leader.
