I HAVE been looking at some of the recent motions put forward in full council meetings.

Bearing in mind that these motions are supposed to serve a purpose that results in better governance, I find it pathetic that many are used solely for political cross-party bashing.

What are we paying these morons for?

I saw many motions that may have a possibility of good intent that could be debated maturely.

Instead they are spoiled by some opportunist dig at an opposition party within the text of the motion which prevents any proper cross-party debate. As a local taxpayer, it bothers me that this is taking place.

Grow up, you partisan councillors, and stop wasting time and money playing party politics in council meetings and learn to govern. No wonder we employ all these wasteful consultants at huge cost to us.

Most of this current crop of local councillors are not fit to lace the boots of their electorate, never mind investigate a problem themselves.
