I WONDERED if anyone could tell me why, given the changes to pupils having to stay on till they are aged 18, how the schools are allowed to keep the student bursaries to themselves?
In my child's school, they say it's for books, equipment and the iPad scheme.
If my son went to Liverpool Community College, for instance, the student would get their bursary.
If my son meets targets, his school will get a bonus at Christmas.
I don't think this is right.
I would like to see legislation brought in that reflects this.
