WITH reference to the letter in last week's Globe from Conor Ritchie complaining that UKIP only received positive reporting from the BBC.

I had to read this twice to confirm that is what the writer actually meant.

Over the last few years and particularly in the run-up to the European elections UKIP has been subjected to a barrage of salacious reports and lies from the UK press and media, particularly the BBC.

It was common knowledge before the elections in May that the other parties were feeding the media with scurrilous stories about UKIP until it became counter-productive and the great British public saw it for what it was.

By no stretch of the imagination could the BBC be accused of positive reporting.

Witness the Panorama stitch-up the other week which has generated over one thousand complaints so far.
