WHAT a delight to enjoy another season of band performances in Vale Park.
Congratulations on the speedy renovation of the bandstand — a fitting memorial to past generations of bandsmen and hopefully for future generations too.
It is so heart warming to see so many talented young musicians in the very professional bands and their conductors, whom we have been privileged to enjoy both this year and in previous years.
The flowerbeds adorn the lovely surroundings creating a beautiful environment.
A big thank you to all who make these afternoons possible through their dedication, including the young man who looks after the deckchairs and sells the raffle tickets.
My friend and I look forward to another musical season in 2015.
