ON JULY 28, my late wife was admitted to Arrowe Park Hospital and my family and I would like to express our appreciation to the staff through your newspaper.

My wife was admitted to A&E, transferred to Ward 20, following an operation, to HDU then ICU.

The whole staff body, in all departments, could not be faulted on the care and attention they showed to all my family.

We met regularly with the surgeon and doctors for updates on my wife’s condition, which was a great comfort to us.

The nursing and associate staffs were second to none in the way they cared for my wife and helped us as a family.

Sadly, after 15 days in hospital, my wife passed away. The whole staff continued to show care and compassion to the family.

All too often, Arrowe Park Hospital and staff are criticised but my family and I have nothing but praise for their care, tenderness, compassion and friendliness.

Harry Bridge,

Rock Ferry.
