I AM in full agreement with your correspondents Angela and Paula whose letters appeared in last week’s Globe.

I am a dog owner and have exercised my dog on Wirral beaches for more than ten years now.

There is a lot of dog dirt on the beach and in the sand hills and it is disgusting.

However, I take empty plastic bags with me do a bit of litter-picking while I am on the beach.

I usually manage to fill both with a variety of equally disgusting items which humans also decide are absolutely fine to leave dumped on our beautiful beaches.

Dog-owners must clean up after their pets, keep them under control and be considerate to others, especially children.

Equally, people visiting the beaches must take all their litter home with them, or at least put it in one of the many bins provided.

Why can’t we all simply be responsible citizens, do our bit and try to live in harmony and peace together?

Dogs and people need clean open spaces.

Let’s all just work together to keep our beautiful Wirral a healthy, clean and pleasant environment we can all appreciate.
