SO, PUBLIC sector workers are to go on strike over pay and conditions.
These are the same people who agreed to the pay and conditions set out by the council in August last year, when 400 people lost their jobs.
Frankly, you deserve everything you get.
This council is a disgrace: 400 jobs lost due to a budget deficit, yet £800,000 on a staircase? £25,000 on a carpet? £45,000 to a bogus home no-one’s heard of.
I notice the two unions, Unison and Unite, support this strike, yet last year they did absolutely nothing to help people losing their jobs. They are a disgrace to the trade union movement.
Finally, the letters page is for people to air their views. Can the Wirral Globe stop publishing letters from councillors?
These people have enough platforms to air their drivel and, I’m sure, claim expenses for the right to do so.
