POLITICIANS are always talking about fairness and justice.

Well, I think there is a massive injustice to the private sector in this country.

I have worked since I was 15 years of age and have never been unemployed since.

However, on reaching the age of 60 years, I was made redundant and I have had no earnings whatsoever for the last two years except my own savings, while my neighbour takes voluntary redundancy at the age of 54 after being employed by Wirral Council.

I have had to pay towards her pension while I had no earnings myself, as I had to wait until I was 62 to receive the state pensions.

I think the public sector is a burden on this country.

While they are closing children’s facilities and disabled facilities in our area, they gave the public sector pensions a three per cent rise.

Public sector workers are normally in long-term jobs and they are in a better position to pay their own pensions.

I don't see why taxpayers have to pay towards their pensions, nobody pays towards ours.

The private sector is treated like second-class citizens, on average they work five years longer, pay more into the system and get less out.
