I HAVE just received last week's Globe and it is very good to read that at long last Martin Morton is to receive "justice" (page seven).
However, it leaves the bigger question of who will pay the settlement?
Will it be taken from the pension funds of the council managers and councillors who harassed Mr Morton from his job?
Perhaps you could represent the cost of “retiring” these “public employees” in terms of years that the Lyndale school (page 15) could be kept open. Will the settlement be imposed on the council tax-payers?
If so, we should be told how much money this harassment will cost us.
We all know the name of Mr Morton, what about the names of the council employees and councillors who caused the problem in the first place?
T Neil Parry, Meols.
