ONCE again the residents of Wirral should be commending the editorial staff of the Wirral Globe for their positive reporting.

Firstly last week they highlighted the six-year plight of Martin Morton, a man of the utmost honesty and integrity whose robust principles made him bring the plight of many vulnerable residents to the attention of the higher management in Wirral Council.

Despite investigations and inquiries and the platitudes of the CEO, nothing has changed within Wirral Council.

The above is borne out and robustly illustrated by the Globe’s report headed "Consultation farce", which again looks at the farcical and on-going situation regarding the proposed closure of Lyndale School, an invaluable facility that provides an unparalleled education service to some of the most vulnerable and severely disabled children in the country.

But again the hierarchy within Wirral Council seeks to play games with the lives of these very vulnerable children and their carers and parents.
