THE successful staging of the Open Championship by the Royal Liverpool Golf Club, Wirral Council and the people of Wirral gained global coverage for the peninsula and a chance for tens of thousands of visitors to experience our wonderful facilities and the warmth of the people.
How typical though that people like your correspondent Dr Stephen Tapril wants to nit pick about the cost of road signs and litter collection when the event was a huge success and put Wirral on the map.
Try looking at the bigger picture and the huge benefits to our area.
