LET me get this straight right from the beginning.

I like dogs, I own a dog and I pick up every time after my dog, because I have the roll bags attached to the lead.

But I do agree the beaches are in a terrible state, especially in Moreton and Leasowe.

The dog dirt is everywhere and the bags are just dumped every where.

It’s an absolute mess there.

So yes, the council and the public must do something about it.

Banning dogs at certain times is not a new idea, it occurs all over over the country.

But it’s not the answer, why will that stop irresponsible owner from allowing the dogs to foul just because of restricted times.

Come on councillors, get your thinking caps on and sort it out!

It may well not stop letting dog owners have dogs foul on the beach but is dog fouling not easier to clean up on man made structures instead of sand!!

The answer is simple really whether it be dogs, dog owners or the general public littering, its enforcement only that will resolve the issue as it stands there seems no one around to enforce laws or byelaws... until this is addressed you will never stop the scum that fail to clean up after their dogs or themselves.
