Message for Wirral dogwalker: "Clean up after your pet"

Wirral Globe: Message for Wirral dogwalker: "Clean up after your pet" Message for Wirral dogwalker: "Clean up after your pet"

I NOTICED a dog-walker who let their pet do its business outside my house on Manor Drive.

Thanks for giving the dogowners like me – who do pick up after our pets – a bad name.

What the person failed to notice – when they were looking around to see if anyone had seen them - was the CCTV camera on the front of my house which shows their face clearly.

If I see this person allowing their dog to do a "repeat performance" anywhere, I will pass a copy of the footage to the council and hopefully they will deal with it.

Stuff the council, they don't care.

Stick the picture online, Facebook, Twitter or somewhere. Shame them - as if they are doing it now, it's fair to say they've been doing it since they got the dog.

I have to walk up liscard road to work everyday, it is the most disgusting poo dodging walk.... It's grim. I've seen so many dog walkers picking up after their dogs, and plenty of others ignoring their dogs, not carrying poo bags, walking away while their dogs poop in the grass. It's grim but I also understand it's impossible for the council to police,
The responsibily has to be down to the dog owner, if you made people pay to license pets, maybe the people who don't care would start too.
Start with chipping all dogs, cats. Charge people. If they pay, they care.

You really should send the video to the Council now. They are probably committing the same crime on a daily (or twice daily) basis, but there's a chance they may never use your patch on Manor Drive again.

Like CatherineD46 I too walk up Liscard Road for work (four times a day) and I'm nauseated by the mess on the floor. The Wirral dog wardens don't appear to have any willingness to address the issue. They could fine culprits £1,000 per offense, and be a money-generating service. Instead they seem to be elsewhere whenever anybody is walking a dog.
