I AM enraged that there are people around who are crass and derogatory towards women these days.
Yesterday, I was beeped at by two men in a car who were making a sexual gesture and calling to me as they went by.
Frankly, I was fuming: how would they feel if their girlfriend, sister, or niece had that happen to them?
What gives them the right to do this?
It may not seem like much, but if these things are not challenged, they become acceptable, and so many of these acts are overlooked.
It's disgusting that a young woman can't leave her home without being sexually harassed by those who feel that this sort of behaviour is acceptable.
It isn't, and never should be.
This also happened near to a school, close to the end of the school day, which disgusts me all the more.
Whoever does this sort of thing, feeling that it is simple and a laugh, should be ashamed of themselves.
