IN his response to my previous letter regarding the junction at Birkenhead Road and the Four Bridges, Cllr Adrian Jones seems to miss the salient point, which is the turning of a free-flowing junction into a rush-hour bottle neck.
He states that the funding for this comes jointly from Merseyside Transport Partnership and the Department of Transport for sustainable transport measures.
While this is an excellent scheme, I still feel that any funds received would be better utilised on areas that needed improving, and not wasted on a junction that did not need changing.
Surely Cllr Jones must have heard of the old adage "If it’s not broken, don’t fix it."
