Work on Wirral roadway is waste of money

AS A regular user of Birkenhead Road and the Four Bridges, I wonder at the buffoonery behind the idea to turn a free-flowing and relatively straightforward two-lane junction into the single lane chaos that now exists.

The fact that the council is trying to save money by reducing services and street-lighting makes the amount of money wasted on this ludicrous idea even more bemusing.

re; tower road "buffoonery", remember the days when traffic still flowed even when the bridge was raised? there is going to be some very angry motorists in the future, along with cancelled bus services due to the Wirral councils newest gridlock.
Honestly? has some educated person really planned this disaster of a road layout? Surely someone, someone within local government must take up an enquiry of sorts. Or is it a question of using up budget allocations before losing them, because from whatever angle, scheme, health and safety case, or useless EU nonsense, Birkenhead, tower road, four bridges scheme does not and will never make sense or work, 'unless'...its a conspiracy to generate fines from people jumping red lights. Guarantee the amount of accidents will increase, motor insurance will suffer, businesses will suffer, local residents are already suffering, and someone gets richer.
Please, please, someone investigate and put a halt to this madness.
