I THINK I may have missed the announcement of this, but having just contacted the Floral Pavilion by telephone I have discovered there are plans to impose a ticket booking fee of £1 per ticket - yes - per ticket not per transaction.

This means that from May, if I want to take my grandchildren, my wife and myself to a show, it is likely to cost me an extra £7 as well as any parking charge that may be imposed on the Fort Perch Rock car park, say £3 for the afternoon or evening.

This means an extra £10 Wirral Tax which, quite frankly, I am not prepared to pay, so I will not be attending the Floral Pavilion with anywhere the same frequency as I do currently (three times in November so far).

Result - own goal for Wirral Borough Council - yet again.

When will they ever learn that the people of their Borough, especially those of us on pensions, are simply NOT cash cows to be milked at every opportunity.

I suspect that there are others who will agree with me and take a similar stance.

Car parking charges have already shown that people will vote with their feet and refuse to become part of this nasty trend towards indirect taxation by the back door.

Now, Wirral can look to the viability of the Floral Pavilion and Conference Centre being put into question due to their constant greed.
