Wirral railway spur would be advantageous

RE: letter entitled Run Train on disused track (Globe Mailbox, September 18).
In reply to this letter, I believe this line was removed when Bidston viaduct was being upgraded.
If so, a piece of sheer vandalism, because it reminds me that two years ago, Alison McGovern MP mentioned possible electrification of the Bidston to Wrexham line.
I thought how this spur would be advantageous.
We should see if there would be a need for that upgrade by the possibility of generating traffic and income.
This would be achieved as follows.
Firstly, additional stations or halts would have to be constructed.
Secondly, for a minimum of two years, additional services would only run this length of line interposing the existing Bidston - Wrexham frequency over this section, hopefully every 20 minutes, additional commuter and shopper travel shall occur.
If the above is successful, electrification would be developed, at least initially on the Wirral line.
