It's biker-baiting season

HAVING just read this week's letters page, it reminded me that I wrote to you last Autumn complaining that the letters had been taken over by the anti-bike lobby and that the issue of dog mess was taking a back seat.

I suggested that for a bit of variety we stop complaining about cyclists and give dog-owners a kicking until March.

Well, whoever has complained about people putting dog waste in bins has brought the dog-owner baiting season to a wonderful finale and I think it would be a great time to start on us lycra-loving degenerates.

So here's to six months of use the cycle paths, stop at red lights and pay road tax etc, etc, etc.

I wonder if our future Mayor owns a dog and rides a bike.

Now wouldn't THAT combination make for pleasant rant on these pages...
