What does Wirral dog owner want us to do?

IN response to the anonymous writer of "So when did this practice become acceptable" there are a few issues I feel arise from this.

What would the writer prefer to happen?

For uncaring people to just leave it lying on the pavement gutters and lawned areas?

I remember the times trying to scrape it out of the treads in shoes, before pooper-scooping became acceptable.

It's a great improvement, a waste bin should always be treated as a potential hazard, and should be deemed so by your own generic risk assessment.

It also beggars belief that you've quietly festered on this one since last July.

It is no more acceptable to put dog faeces in a waste bin than it is to leave it in the road, this type of waste is a bio hazard and is responsible for the spreading of many diseases, you totally ignore the fact that somebody must be responsible for removing, transporting and disposing of this waste, you wrongly state that a "generic" risk assesment will suffice it will not, unless you are aware of the potential hazard(s) and to do this you need certain information to reduce the risk when involved in disposal ,do hospitals throw their bio waste into ordinary bins? well the answer is no, Incontinance pads, soiled dressings etc must be disposed of in a safe manner to protect those people who are responsible for disposal, the environment and to prevent the spread of disease, your generic assessment would probably be better to visually identify the offending steaming piles thus avoiding any contact.
