MERSEYTRAVEL is about to withdraw the 272 bus service which runs from Arrowe Park Hospital along Barnston Road to Heswall and then on to Neston.
There will be a partial replacement between the hospital and Gill's Lane, but there will still be major problems for users of this service.
People living between the Glegg Arms and Barnston village will lose their direct service to the hospital and will first have to catch a bus into Heswall, which is further away from the hospital.
People living between Thingwall Corner and Gill’s Lane will lose their direct service to Heswall.
I suggest that if you will be inconvenienced by this change you should write to Merseytravel to protest.
If you travel to the hospital, please ask the hospital to
protest as well.
Malcolm McRonald, Heswall
