THERE is a lot of talk that our so called council is about to halt the upkeep of the bowling greens due to cost - this being the case, will they also be stopping the upkeep of their golf courses by closing these down as well?
I feel the public and the bowling leagues should do as they did when the council was threatening to close our libraries and get our local MPs involved or by getting in touch with the minister of sport (if we still have one).
Bowling involves a lot of people, young and old, for most of the summer and quite a few in the winter.
For the council to want to wipe their hands of this matter is a disgrace.
R Knight, Irby.
