Riverside Writers next meet on August 24th, at 7.30pm in West Kirby Library when Gary Smailes from Bubblecow, a Wirral-based editing and author mentoring company, will visit to talk about what publishers want, how to professionally submit MS to publishers, and what his company offers.
Gary Smailes has a wide experience of the publishing industry and over the past ten years has worked as a freelance writer, historian and researcher. Gary has written a number of history books for children including the Brave Scot and Modern Hero series.
He also worked closely for many years with the successful author Terry Deary as the researcher for the ever popular Horrible Histories books. Gary has collaborated with a number of independent publishers providing editorial support and advice for fiction and non-fiction titles.
Everyone is welcome to join us for what promises to be an interesting and informative evening.
Members and visitors are asked to pay £1 (payable per meeting) to cover costs.
