TO the person who doesn't think it's right that single benefits claimants have more bedrooms than they need ...

Having friends in this position - and having been there myself - I know there are many reasons why this situation may occur; chronic illness and relationship breakdowns being just two of them.

To remove people from their homes could be very traumatic on top of other difficulties they are facing.

And remove them to where when one bedroom places are in such short supply?

Vulnerable single people, many with unseen disabilities, can be afraid to go out as they face suspicious looks and even verbal abuse from neighbours and people that "don't think it's right."

They can be stigmatised and shunned as if every problem the country has is their fault.

Yes, there is a housing crisis and many people (families and single people alike) are suffering in poverty.

But, I would suggest that a lack of empathy and ignorance are just as damaging to society as the few highly publicised cases that give genuine claimants a bad name.

Have a heart - not a vindictive attitude!
