I AM a responsible dog-owner who lives in Wallasey.

I just have one dog and she doesn't bother any other dogs or people.

I am disgusted that all the pay and display areas are popular walking areas for locals and visitors.

I for one would not pay just to take my dog out for her daily walk as I don't just go for 15 to 30 minutes.

Plus now the council have decided to bring in a ban for dogs from popular Wirral walking areas.

Can anyone tell me where it is safe to take your dog out without having to pay for it or pay a fine in case you walk in a restricted area?

I do agree with dogs being banned from places such as playgrounds, sports pitches and tennis courts.

It seems to me it is humans that are at fault for not controlling their dogs, dog mess, dog bags and litter everywhere.

Should it not be these people that are stopped and not the people that care about the countryside and coast and where they live.

I used to love living in Wirral but now all the pleasure seems to have gone out of it.

The council are just trying to make money out of the public once again with their different schemes.
