ON Wednesday I took my son and his friends to Irby Park to play football to find that the goal posts have been taken down.
Why is this?
Apparently it's because it's end of the football season but surely it's not end of the season for our kids.
Everyone keeps going on about 'get out' and 'be active' - and then the council takes down the posts that the kids use.
When I contacted the council they didn't know they had been removed and asked if I had been mistaken.
Surely this is wrong, why can't we have the posts on ALL parks left up?
Let the kids play out.
