STRANGELY, if not sinisterly, your anti-Marxist correspondent prefers to remain anonymous (PropagandaWirral Globe, May 16).

Obviously, he or she lacks the courage of his or her alleged convictions.

I, on the other hand, am very happy to identify myself as a Marxist.

Your anonymous correspondent's letter is devoid of any "factual reality," something which he or she perversely accuses my letter on Marx of lacking.

All we have are the usual free-floating smears, unfounded allegations and personal abuse.

I think I will decline the offer to follow the preachings of right-wing, former psychology professor Jordan Peterson, who is now a millionaire several times over due to his new career as a purveyor of psycho-babble and his own religion of personality as a "guide" to politics and reality.

Marx and genuine Marxists owe no allegiance whatsoever to, or blame for, the corrupt Stalinist regimes that previously existed under the Soviet Union and its satellite states.

They all collapsed like dead leaves falling from a tree from 1989 to 1991.

The same applies to the Stalinist regimes still in existence in China, North Korea, Cuba, and a few others in South-East Asia.

They all owe more to capitalism than to Socialism.

Stalin and his successors in the Kremlin imposed a fake blueprint of "Socialism" on all other Revolutions that followed after the Second World War, beginning with China in 1948.

Not one of them has built a genuine Socialist society along the lines envisaged by Marx, Engels, Lenin, and Trotsky, who was one of the many millions of Stalin’s victims, murdered by a Stalinist agent in exile in Mexico in 1940.
