JUST looking back on a letter I received from Wirral Council last year.

It involved the proposed work of speed humps.

In it, the council stated that it is committed to ensuring that the roads, and footpaths, are safe and well-maintained for the benefit of all users.

It is, therefore, necessary, to conduct a "continuous programme of maintenance across the borough."

Does this not apply to the roads now?
