WITH the sad events at Alder Hey Hospital gaining attention around the world I just had to contact you.

On Tuesday morning my two-year-old granddaughter had a prolonged seizure.

A 999 call was made and quickly a paramedic was at my house followed by an ambulance which, under blue lights, rushed her to Arrowe Park Hospital.

She was met by a team of what I would call truly amazing dedicated doctors and nurses and other departments staff.

They went about saving my granddaughter in the most caring calm professional way I've ever seen.

She was brought back from the brink scanned and put into intensive care.

She's now back to her normal self at home with her twin sister.

On behalf of a very worried grandad and a nan who really played her part I would like to offer my heartfelt thanks to everyone from ambulance crews to all the hospital staff who looked after my granddaughter.

The care they gave her was second to none and they truly are hero’s.

They do a fantastic job with limited resources due to cutbacks.
