OUR mum who has dementia was in Arrowe Park Hospital for five weeks with a terrible bout of flu.

Thankfully, due to the high standard of clinical and nursing care there, she is now home and doing really well.

We would like to thank all the staff in A & E and the Acute Medicine Unit.

Especially, thanks to Sister Samantha Williams and her incredible team on ward 27 for doing such a wonderful job in looking after mum.

We are blessed with the NHS and so lucky to have fantastic professionals like Consultant Hannah Cronin, Sister Williams, Sister Clarke and their team.

They were always available to deal with our worries, our frustration and our medical questions.

They give so, so much in the face of underfunding, understaffing and the privatisation agenda driven by Government, yet they remain true heroes.

Caring for our mum when they have their own families at home needing them too.

Thank you so much from our family.

Sister Williams and APH support "John's Campaign."

The campaign is all about adapting a ward so that family members can stay with relatives with dementia overnight, make food and spend meaningful time together.

We were welcomed at any time into ward 27.

We really appreciated being able to go in at any time.
