IN this week's Globe there are eight letters to the editor and seven of them were complaining about council services.

I've read of there being £80m to £90m of reserves held by the Council.

Is this figure correct?

How did the amount become so high?

What is the purpose of keeping such a high figure?

Has it been allowed to increase when the Council is continuing to cut back services?

Without answers, I'm sure there will be calls at the forthcoming May election to vote for any party which proposes to cut the reserves and spend money to improve services.
