THANK you to Dr Shrivastava at Holmlands Medical Centre and the care team at Ward 38 Arrowe Park Hospital.
For the first time I was taken in to hospital this week suffering with pneumonia.
My doctor could not have acted more effectively with such a caring manner.
Once admitted it was a remarkable experience.
I watched a stretched team of absolute committed professionals giving everything to their patients.
From the incredible attention to detail by the medical staff to the scrupulous cleaning and even finding a couple of valuable extra seconds to make sure that you had a drink and enough to eat.
The level of genuine care for the patients was unbelievable.
What was also remarkable was the attitude of every member of the team to any thanks, the response was a consistent "it's ok that's what I am here for".
None of the staff ever seemed to stop.
When I asked whether it was always like this the answer was "yes and busier".
I have never felt this ill before.
I know my recovery will be down to the swift action by my GP and the medical team at Ward 38 getting my treatment right.
We are very lucky on Wirral to have such great doctors, nurses and support teams.
I just wanted them to know how much they are appreciated.
