I READ Michael Horgan's letter about having to wait an hour and a quarter with amusement.
I am registered with Eastham Group Practice that has opted-out of Wirral Phlebotomy and has its own phlebotomist.
This is the only one I am allowed to use.
I was recently told I needed a blood test and when I phoned to book one, the earliest date I was given was four weeks away.
I should be so lucky to have to wait one and a quarter hours.
Mr Horgan should not wish for a appointment-based system, it's worse than waiting your turn.
Why Eastham Group Practice does its own phlebotomy I don’t know, but it’s not to the benefit of the patient.
