I FREQUENTLY travel on the bus using my senior citizen bus pass and have been in danger of stumbling because the driver could not wait for me to be seated, and as I had shopping bags in both hands ended up with a nasty bruise on my arm.

Do these drivers not realise if it wasn't for mostly elderly passengers using these buses after 9.30am their hours would be reduced if not cut out completely because certain routes would not be profitable?

I firmly believe using these buses help the over-60s keep in touch with the world outside their homes and helps the elderly become less isolated.

This sector of the population have worked since the age of 15 and deserve a little consideration when travelling on public transport.
